The Big Brothers Big Sisters' mission is to create and support 1:1 mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
It is our vision that all youth achieve their potential. By partnering with parents/guardians, volunteers, and others in the community, we are accountable for each child in our program achieving: higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships; avoidance of risky behaviors, and educational success. |

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tennessee Valley is a proud affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the nation's largest volunteer-supported mentoring network. This national affiliation ensures our programs meet the highest standards of youth mentoring while providing access to research-based best practices and resources. Additionally, we maintain active membership in the State Association of Alabama for Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies, connecting us with fellow Alabama affiliates to share knowledge, coordinate statewide initiatives, and strengthen our collective impact across the state. These partnerships enable us to deliver evidence-based mentoring services while contributing to a broader movement that has served youth for over 120 years.
