We want to work with you and your child's Big to plan activities and opportunities that have a powerful impact on your child. Here's what to expect as an active partner in this match:
- Talk with Match Support monthly. We will contact you monthly to get your point of view of the match and see if you have any questions or concerns. These monthly contacts are required to be able to support you if any problems arise. For child safety reasons, we may have to suspend or end a match if we are not able to reach you.
- Respect boundaries. Bigs are volunteers and should not be asked for services outside the scope of their role. We discuss the Big's roles and responsibilities during orientation.
- Know about the activities your child does with their Big. Approve outings and activities in advance and be sure to ask your child about them afterwards. Make note of any observations that you would like to discuss during your monthly Match Support contact.
